Founded in 1986, the Climate Institute is one of the world’s first organizations focused solely on addressing climate change. Our work moved the issue of climate change onto the international agenda by fostering collaboration between nations and advancing work on a range of climate solutions.
Through strong collaboration with partners, much has been accomplished to advance effective international climate policy. The Climate Institute is proud of its first 35 years in not only helping to pull back from disastrous climate change, but in preventing very serious and disruptive impacts on the environment and society.
Since its inception, the Climate Institute has been a global leader in facilitating and organizing climate discussions, which have improved climate change awareness, action and results. Our work has a global reach and we recognize the importance of integrating marginalized poor nations into international discussions, as they are often on the front lines of climate change impacts. Our broad vision and creative innovation will continue to define our work.
