The Institute's newsletter, the Climate Alert, is now in its twenty-second year as a principal source for policy makers on the likely impacts of climate change in the U.S. and abroad. Several Climate Alert special reports have generated wide public attention. These include a feature on cogeneration and recycled waste heat, an analysis of climate and energy trends in China, a study of the vulnerability of the insurance industry in the face of climate change, an assessment of the growth of electric cars and other zero emission vehicles, summaries of national and regional studies of climate change implications, and reports of key policy developments concerning international developments on climate change and green energy. The Climate Alert also includes guest columns from some of the most distinguished and world-renowned experts in the energy, environmental and public policy arena.
